Tooth-Colored Fillings
Small to medium-sized cavities can be filled with a tooth-colored composite resin to restore the form, function, and appearance of the tooth. When Dr. Gina Davis performs a filling, she carefully takes away the damaged tooth enamel and replaces it with the filling material to strengthen the tooth and prevent further decay.
A filling normally takes no more than a single appointment and can be completed with a local numbing medication to keep you comfortable. You should experience no pain or discomfort during the procedure and minimal discomfort afterward. Once the numbing wears off, you should be able to resume your normal daily activities. Just be mindful of what you eat for the first day or so to keep from dislodging or damaging your new filling.
